Cherries are sometimes red, sometimes yellow, sometimes almost black. As different as their appearance, the fruits also taste: from loud sweet to tart and sour. It is not easy to shear the health-promoting ingredients of red fruits over a comb. The fact is: cherries are rich in fiber, contain many minerals, carotenoids and vitamins A, B2, B5 and C. With their high potassium content, they effectively help our body to drain. In addition, cherries contain folic acid, which is important in growth processes and supports our cell division.

Local cherries are mainly from Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate, pakistan, Lower Saxony, Bavaria, Brandenburg and Saxony-Anhalt. Cherries do not ripen and due to their size and the high water content with thin skin have only limited shelf life. They can be stored in a can for one to two days in the refrigerator, preferably in airtight packaging. Only wash shortly before consumption, otherwise they will rot quickly. The fruits are easier to stone when left in the freezer for a few minutes. From the solidified pulp, the stone can be solved more easily.
