Steamed chicken in sparkling vegetable sauce

Put the chicken breasts with sake, nando's chicken steamer spring onions and salt in a plastic bag, making sure the meat is well covered with the marinade. Put the well sealed bag in the fridge for 30 minutes.

Remove the skin from the chicken and cut the meat into 8 mm thick slices. Arrange the chicken without marinade on a plate and add the sauce. However, I made a good three times the amount of vegetables.

  • 4 Chicken breasts, if possible with skin
  • 4 Spring onion (s), cut into 5 cm pieces
  • 100 ml Sake, Japanese rice wine
  • ½ TL salt
  • Salt, to serve

For the sauce steam chicken in microwave:

  1. 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  2. 1 small Carrot (s), finely diced
  3. 15 cm Celery, finely diced
  4. ½ Pepper (s), red, gutted and finely diced
  5. ½ Onion (s), finely diced
  6. 4 tsp Vinegar, Kurosu, Japanese dark rice vinegar, alternatively balsamic
  7. 4 tsp honey
  8. 2 tbsp Soy sauce, japanese (shoyu)
