Bacon waffles with herb butter Recipe
Hearty, tangy waffles with crispy bacon - the other breakfast in the morning, delicious snack or new favorite dinner.

Bacon waffles with herb butter ingredients
- ½ fret chives
- 1 bunch parsley clove of garlic
- 250 g soft butter
- 1/2 tsp Organic lemon peel salt pepper
- 3 Eggs (M)
- 300 ml milk
- 250 g Whole wheat flour
- 150 g diced bacon
- 75 g Fried onions (finished product) Fat for the waffle iron

- For the herb butter, wash the chives and half of the parsley, shake dry and finely chop. Peel the garlic clove, press through and mix with 150 g butter. Add lemon zest and herbs. Season well with salt and pepper and stir thoroughly. Place the butter on a sheet of parchment paper and roll it into a roll. Cool for 45 minutes.
- Melt the remaining butter for the waffles. Separate the eggs. Mix the milk, 200 ml water and egg yolks well. Mix in the flour and butter. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
- Wash and finely chop the remaining parsley. Stir in the bacon cubes, fried onions, parsley, ¾ teaspoon salt and a little pepper. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff and fold in.
- Preheat the waffle iron, thinly grease the baking surfaces. Place about 3 tablespoons of batter in the middle of the lower baking surface and close the waffle iron. Bake the waffle for approx. 2 minutes until crispy and light brown. Bake eight more waffles with the remaining batter and serve with the herb butter.
